I’m not a fan of teddy bears but this one – sitting on the big chair and looking all over the xmas decoration. So I took few shots and hope you like it.
Finally some sun and blue sky in Berlin and time for a walk.
We did this trip in november 2005. It was an oraganised trip – one week beach and one week bus tour. A great country and alot of reminder to east germany.
Here are some beach-photos.
Plus I used a feature there – miniature or tilt shift.
Since I read about the Reuben-Sandwich in „Stil in Berlin“ I was looking for an opportunity to try this. And yesterday I had time and was in the mood (sunny day in Berlin).
The deli „Melzer & Mogg“ is located in the „Ehemalige Jüdische Mädchenschule“ in the Auguststraße. If you interested to know more about the history and the building take a look on this website (german and english)
Of course I ordered the Reuben and it was really good.
No need to eat until the evening because it was big enough 🙂 I remember Reuben-sandwich in Chicago and London but I guess every deli or every city made it different. Anyway – next time I have to try the NY cheese cake (4 Euro).
I asked if I can take pictures and they agreed but you should ask. They don’t like it so much, so please respect their wishes.
We had very nice weather today and I took a walk thru Berlin, especially the former jewish quarter. Today is is an area full of galery, restaurants and shops. I will post more photos tomorrow.
This is „Clärchen’s Ballhaus“ , very famous from East-German times and also today.
Sunday in Berlin – rain, wind and clouds. But since I was already outside I was walking thru the Arena a famous concert and event hall in Treptow. Part of the area is the Garden of slow down. No idea why this name but it was interesting. Plus few more photos from tha area.
One of the newer symbols in Treptow are the „Molecule Man“ from Jonathan Borofsky. The german wikipedia explained it that way.
